A devastating card at number effect that has fooled some of magic's brightest minds, yet is still shockingly easy to do. This jaw-dropping effect from Greg Rostami ("Inject", "Realist") is simple direct, and impossible to backtrack. It leaves everyone stunned.

"Holy S--t is all I can say! The simplicity is Fantastic!" Chris Funk

"I don't understand that?! Supercan is completely baffling." Kyle Purnell

A prediction card is placed next to a deck of cards. Your participant then creates a large random number by multiplying two freely-chosen numbers (let's say they end up with a six digit number). They then count cards matching each digit in the number (3 cards, 5 cards, 5 cards, etc. until they get through the 6th number). The final card they land on impossibly matches your prediction. They can then examine the whole deck, there is nothing to find.

  • Easy to do
  • Can use any normal deck of cards
  • You never have to touch the cards or their phone
  • No sleight of hand
  • No apps
  • No internet

They make all the choices, yet your prediction always matches. It's a true miracle that anyone can do.

The detailed nearly two-hour long instructions give you everything you need to get started in just a few minutes before diving into all the variations you can use both close-up and on stage. This includes the hands-off version, as well as versions in which you shuffle the deck before beginning.

You'll also receive all the USPCC-printed gimmick prediction cards needed to perform the different variations. Only one is needed per routine, and it is not added or removed to the deck. So the deck you use is always completely clean from start to finish, and can even be borrowed.

Customer reviews for Supercan

Daniel
This truly is a Super CAAN. Greg provides you with different versions and multiple ways of arriving at the Card At Any Number. The teaching and the thinking in this project are top notch. The cards are handled by the spectator and DEALT FACE UP! Mind blown. The number selection process is a revamped version of one of Greg's previous ideas and is cleverly applied to a CAAN that is incredibly clean and fooling. How do i know this is fooling? Because I have been doing a version of Super CAAN, with a different card method, at the Magic Castle as a closer to my cellar set. This is an audience fooler and a magician destroyer. Wonderful job, Greg. I'm jealous that other magicians will be doing Super CAAN as this was one of my favorite secrets that has amazed audiences and astounded magicians.

The effect and method are equally spectacular. What a great piece! Worth every penny.

Superman comes with several different methods and tutorials to achieve truly unique versions of the ACAAN principle. It is well thought out, using principles that I don’t think anyone else would have thought of besides Greg Rostami. Greg never ceases to amaze, and this is no exception. It’s fun to perform, being far away from run of the mill ACAAN routines. If that’s what Greg was after, he achieved it well. It includes well-made props that give versatility and ease of performance.

This is an excellent effect. The nearly two hours of instructive video however, while offering myriad alternative handlings, is maddening both for its redundancy and prescriptiveness. Rather than beginning with a bare-bones explanation of the principle — which, though essential, is given a VERY quick once-over (blink and you'll miss it) — the video is replete with self-promotion and intrusive points of personal preference and unnecessary repetition that impede rather than facilitate learning. I know that printed instructions are all but obsolete, but if ever there were a trick the explanation of which could be reduced to a page or two of text rather than two hours of viewing, this is it. And not only that, the video is on Vimeo and not downloadable, so you purchase the few props and ACCESS TO but not OWNERSHIP OF the directions. Caveat Emptor! But again, this is a terrific trick, one that offers manifest opportunities for alternate presentations and solutions to discrepancies other than the one(s) offered in the video. (You are NOT limited to your mother's birthday, OK?)In short — well, maybe it's too late for that — I LOVE the effect but even more than the effect itself, I love the adaptability of the principle taught. The instructional video, alas, is not one of those that encourage faith in the medium for purposes of magical instruction. Six stars for the effect (Excellent +), two stars (below standard) for the video. Averages out to four stars (Good) as a purchase.

I’m having a blast performing Supercan to my friends and family members! They have no idea how I did it. I even performed it with a blank deck that blew their minds! I prefer dealing cards corresponding to each number shown on the calculator for the reveal to hide the “Mathematical” factor of the effect. Highly recommended!
