DeLand's Wonder Deck DeLand's Wonder Deck

Note—these special decks are replacement decks from the DeLand: Mystery and Madness book set—the decks do not come with instructions.

The Wonder Deck was the first Edge Marked Deck created and was sold by Theodore DeLand in 1915 that was similar to his Dollar Deck. It allowed the magician to determine the position of any individual card.

After only a few months, DeLand took the deck off the market, destroyed the plates, as well as the decks he still had in stock, possibly based upon pressure from casino owners. This is a rare chance to benefit from the incredible work of Richard Kaufman who has re-produced the deck in astounding quality.

This brand new edition, printed by USPCC is gorgeous. Richard Kaufman spent 15 years writing DeLand: Mystery and Madness and as a treat for readers, he also commissioned three very special decks. Whether you are a hobbyist, magic enthusiast or a history buff, you're fgoing to love these cards.

Customer reviews for DeLand's Wonder Deck

Richard

I just got my Wonder Deck yesterday, and found it to be a really nice reproduction deck. I collect (early) Mysto Magic, and Theodore DeLand designed their card tricks, so when I read about his "Wonder Deck" I had to have one. Richard Kaufman, author of "Theodore DeLand Mystery & Madness" commented that there were only about 6-original decks known to exist. When I found this deck for sale at Vanishing Inc. I was delighted to say the least. I want to thank Richard Kaufman for reproducing this 100 + year old deck, and Vanishing Inc. for passing it along to Magic buff like myself.
