The Effect

You display several large, colorful gummy bears, which can be freely examined, before you place them into a bag.

You and your participant take turns drawing one gummy bear at a time from the bag. Without looking at its color, each gummy bear is placed into a separate upright tube. Because either your or your participant's hands cover the gummy bear as it goes inside, it is impossible for anyone to see which colors are selected or the order in which they are placed.

Once the final gummy bear has been placed into the tube, the bag is completely empty. The impossible revelation now takes place: you and your participant have selected their gummy bears in exactly the same order, and the colors inside the tubes perfectly match.

But the magic does not end there. You reach into the supposedly empty bag and produces a real bag of Haribo gummy bears, creating a fun, unexpected, and delicious conclusion to the routine.
