"Wolfgang's Library Prediction" puts a fun new twist on the "Color Block Escape Trick" to ensure it plays even larger and offers a fuller experience for every audience.
This new version has turned the standard blocks into books that are housed in a mini library, adding a new layer of meaning to the trick. It gives you a reason to perform it more often, and for larger audiences.
Despite these changes, "Wolfgang's Library Prediction" is still tremendously easy to do.
"Wolfgang's Library Prediction" starts by introducing a small box that looks like a miniature library. You open it to show six books, each of which cover a different subject and are a distinctly different color.
There are many presentation possibilities, but the base routine revolves around a parent whose son went off to college. The parent wanted to research what subjects would offer the most lucrative jobs after their son graduated college.
A spectator selects two of the subjects. All of the books are returned to the library and secured with a bookmark. You explain how the two subjects you thought were best perfectly matched their choices, and you can prove it. When the lid is open, only those two books they selected fall out.
You can also make this play for a larger audience by adding a three-way clear change bag (not included). Instead of having just one spectator assist you, you have a bunch of them write their favorite subjects on pieces of paper and let someone draw two of the papers out of the bag. (Of course, an "Amazebox" would work well here too.)
"Wolfgang's Library Prediction" features well-made wooden props with vibrant colors. The books are approximately 2.5in x 2in x .75in.
