Magic download (video) by Andi Gladwin (9.60 - normally $12.00)

One undisputed highlight from Andi Gladwin's shows and lectures is "Aura," in which a spectator finds their own card from a genuinely shuffled deck. The routine is three phases, each more impossible than the last, and it's nearly self-working.

Due to some devious, yet simple, gimmickry, "Aura" is essentially self-working. Andi takes you through everything you need to know in this thirty-minute download, and even gives you multiple variations and ideas to make the effect your own.

Whether you're performing in casual or formal situations, "Aura" is set to be your new closer.

Running time: approximately 30 minutes

Very nice routine, not just a trick! Easy to learn but strong routine. It allows performer to focus on presentation. The method is clean and flexible enough to allow variable techniques. The instructions are very clear and thoughtful. I am looking forward to adding this to my repertoire.

This is a spectacular effect! It is definitely a good way to spend your VI points. The sleights are easy enough for a magician of almost any skill level, but don't let its easiness fool you: this trick will absolutely destroy your spectators' minds! I would definitely recommend!

GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!! is all I can say. Andy did an excellent job with the instructions on this illusion. I like the idea of using the Mandolin card as a marked card. The jacket is another great idea. I prepared two of my jackets and have been practicing this great trick. I believe this will be a high point in the set of illusions that I perform. I can't wait to see the reactions to this effect. I believe I will include this in a Christmas Special where I am performing some illusions for our video special. Thanks Andy for your great teachings.

Aura is a powerful effect with a practical method which allows the performer concentrate on a presentation which suits their own style. Andi explains all very clearly and you can see he loves and has really worked this routine. Its a versatile piece of magic to have at your disposal. Highly recommended.

Aura combines multiple methods to create a real fooler. One of methods I had actually initially thought of but Andy comes up with a way to eliminate the possibility of that method even if a spectator were to suspect it. That's what makes this a well thought out effect that you can tell has been workshopped to eliminate any suspicion of methods. There are no complicated sleights so everything should be within the capability of even a beginner and therefore it allows for you to focus more on presentation.

Enjoyed the effect, enjoyed the simplicity and the blend of method (fine old wine in a new skin).
Would love to come up with a ouiji twist with alphabet cards

Andi Gladwin’s Aura is a mesmerizing piece of magic that stands out as a true highlight in his repertoire of shows and lectures. The routine revolves around a spectator uncovering their own card from a genuinely shuffled deck, and it unfolds in three progressively more impossible phases.

The brilliance of Aura lies in the clever and simple “gimmicky” (not necessarily a gimmick - not sure how to word it) employed. In a concise thirty-minute download, And takes you through every nuance of the routine. He shares multiple variations and ideas, encouraging magicians to infuse their unique flair into the performances.

Andi addresses practical concerns, like time-saving decision to avoid having three people pick cards sequentially. In his example with the 4 of Clubs, Jack of Spades, and Jack of Diamonds, a spectator pushes the cards into the deck and someone else shuffles them. Despite these challenges the revelations of the selected cards remain not only easy but also impressive.

The inclusion of a discussion on the force used and a valuable tip adds depth to the learning experience. And’s thoughtful explanation reveals the subtle intricacies behind the trick without demystifying the magic. The first selection is seamlessly found, setting the tone for a performance that builds in intensity.

Fantastic effect!! Andi's explanation is very detailed also. I can't wait to perform this in a parlor show!

Aura is a three-step routine that will make mouths open wide. With each step it becomes more and more impossible, resulting in one last totally incredible twist. Just to point something out, the camera moves too much during Andi Gladwin's explanation and it ends up being a little dizzying. For the rest, to take off your hat and pay homage to the great master. Good move, super clever and really easy to do!

Buy this!! This is a mini-masterclass with Andi Gladwin on a three card selection and discovery. He shares a beautiful effect that is multi-layered, wherein each card is revealed in a different manner that raises the level of mystery. His clear thinking is sprinkled throughout the construction of the routine. (The methods for all three cards are brilliant - I particularly like the first card revelation method.) The tips from a working pro are evident. Thanks, Andi !

Great trick and very easy to perform. Leaving you to easily be comfortable and open with you're audience. Taught very well with multiple set ups. Even those who perform the most difficult of magic ,should be using this routine. You'll totally enjoy the amazement of your crowd. With principles that can be applied and fit in nicely . I use the last phase for spec chooses and deals to their card almost works itself.

Great trick with Interesting ideas taught that are so useful and add improvement to other ways to enhance many presentations in tricke that you already use.

This is a very interesting routine for parlour conditions! The method is well thought and additional handlings have been provided. It requires some dressing preparation and a special deck you might already own.

“Aura” is a great performance piece that allows each magician to customize the presentation to suit their individual style. You have three spectators select cards from a deck, and those cards are returned to the deck and later found in an impossible manner. The mechanics of the trick are simple, so the performer can relax and focus on entertainment— and isn’t that really what makes a magic performance a winner? As I interpret this trick, its heart and soul is in how you interact with each spectator. You might see it as a chance to play up the card locations. This effect affords many opportunities.

I wasn't sure how to spend my points and I decided why not and boy was it a great decision. I can't wait to start performing this, it is a very strong and impossible effect. Andi goes into great detail on the explanation and is a very good teacher when explaining. I would recommend this to any serious closeup/ parlor performer.

Yeah excellent constructive thought process is what level this routine follows. Dare I say that the pocket lining switch is like a psuedo Topit of sorts and operates quite deviously, out of sight out of mind, and is a miniscule sacrifice of the lining, for a powerhouse result. I did think that a one way deck was in play, to begin with, but was unable to reconstruct the possible pathway, where the deck could possibly have been effectively switched, so that notion was quickly dispelled, due to the fact that the spectator has freedom to rummage around, in an attempt to produce the selection. Absolute Diamond Deception and Brain numbing entertainment. This is Stellar!!! Thanks for sharing it.

Always a pleasure to listen to Andi. Great trick, great ideas, great presentation, great magician. The explanations are absolutely clear, you can see that Andi´s intention is not for him to get it done, but for you to learn and understand. I would totally recommend this to anyone, specially if you´re looking for strong openers!

This video sets the standard for teaching a new trick. 1) It starts with a great routine; 2) The presentation is very well-organized and logically constructed; 3) the explanation is extremely clear and thorough, without over-dwelling on points; 4) Andy has a great sense of humor; 5) there are multiple performance options offered up, to help all of us who come in with varying levels of skill. I could go on, but won't. Thank you for a great routine, easily understood and which made me immediately put together the various pieces needed to perform this. I'll even modify my suit coat...

Such a cool effect! Very easy to perform and super powerful for layman. The method is simple and easy to perform, but doesn’t take away from the effect at all. It is an extremely entertaining presentation and you will love performing it.

A great trick, a great routine, comes with a demo, followed by a very well explained tutorial, including how too with the selections, plus the different options for the outs are all explained on how too, although the spectator will not be aware off this, i like the bicycle card explanation, you will no what l mean by this when you get this tutorial. Once you no the method, get the presentation down, and the rest of the magic will just flow. Its a very deviouse fun trick to do.

The effect is easy to understand. It appears to increase in difficulty to the audience. It naturally and organically gets the audience involved, the storyline is intriguing, what more could you want? It is fairly easy to do, the method is clever, the handling can be learned in less than 5 minutes for anyone familiar with a deck of cards.

I needed to perform at a business function, I used this effect as the opener to a speech on networking and getting to know people on a more intimate level. Needless to say it was the perfect introduction and a strong piece of magic to drive home the point.

Andi, when I saw your performance of this, I knew I had to put it in my act. Man, this routine is brilliant! I love magic that tells a story and this one can be changed in so many ways to fit the mood or occasion (I'm working on a Halloween adaption: "Three Ghosts") It flows logically and simply but I added a "Cut Deeper" force at the start to make it even simpler. You guys are quickly becoming my favorite magic store, brother. Keep 'em coming'!

Excellent ideas and presentations. Jacket not problem for me and should not be a concern or problem for anyone who desires to be an amateur magician. Will attempt to learn and try it out in the near future for my next performance for a larger audience.Thank you for sharing this trick and for sharing alternative ways of doing it and for the alternative presentations.

This was a freebie I purchased by redeeming points, and I’m happy I did. Andi is an excellent instructor with scads of ideas about handling, subtleties of the most mentalism-y touches of the trick’s effects, and audience management. Unfortunately I may need to make changes to his routine due to a) a straightforward sleight that I nevertheless always have trouble with, and b) the need to alter irrevocably a piece of clothing for the sake of parts 2 and 3 of the effect. Still, the 1-2-3 punch of the effect is too good for me NOT to want to emulate Dani’s handling as closely as possible. Having acquired the necessary gimmicks (and there are a couple, though most serious amateurs will have at least one of the two), I’m going to give this a go in spite of the snags.

First off, Andi is a truly incredible teacher and master magician. He has a likeable style and understandable explanations. This miracle is a head scratcher, but because you need a jacket I would say its not for beginners. I never wear a jacket thus never perform any magic in one.
the method is genius and it should be used as a closer and stand back and take the applause.
get this miracle at the affordable price, you won't be disappointed.

The first two ways you find a card are cool and simple enough. The final way the spectator finds the card needs a special deck which you would need to purchase separately if you do not have it. You could probably just adapt the trick to two phases but it would be missing the kicker ending.
