TAssembly from Creative Artists is a visually stunning ace assembly routine with an absolute killer ending.

Effect:
From a deck of cards, one 'special' card is removed, such as an ace. The four kings are then removed from the deck and placed on the table - one face up and three face down. One by one, the three face down kings are vanished in the hand with the assistance of the 'special' ace, until all four kings are reunited. Now for the killer ending. One king is removed from the four and replaced with the ace, upon which all other three kings instantly turn into the remaining aces, leaving you with all four aces in the hands and just the single king on the table.

The method is refined, well thought out and smooth, and what's more, the kicker ending will leave your audience reeling.

  • No gimmicks
  • No duplicates
  • No 'sticky stuff'

Bonus: This is a "sleightly" watered down version of "TAssembly" that retains the same magical moments and the kicker ending.

Maybe I’m getting old, but this routine fooled me twice! You remove the four Kings from your deck, plus a magic card — say, the Ace of Spades. The rest of the deck is placed aside as it is no longer required.

The four Kings are laid out face down on the table in classic T formation — three in a row, with the leader in front. You now pick up the magic card and place a King on top of it. The King becomes invisible and reappears on top of the leader King. This is repeated with the other two Kings, until all four Kings have gathered in the one pile.

You show the four Kings one by one, then openly swap the magic card with one of the Kings. Suddenly the four Kings change into the four Aces. This leaves you with four Aces and one King. There are no duplicates or gaffs; these cards can be freely examined, should anyone ask.

I don’t know who Creative Artists is (or are), but this is a pretty fine Ace assembly effect that bears their brand name. It combines elements of the classic four-Ace assembly with the Larry Jennings Open Travellers effect, though I could find no credit to Jennings on this video. I have to say that the ending came as a complete surprise to me.

All in all, this is a fine routine, but definitely not for the novice.
