Drop by Thomas Badar

The trick of the convention at Blackpool and The Session 2023 is now available worldwide!
"Drop" by Thomas Badar must be seen to be believed. Seriously, watch the trailer before continuing. You'll get to see a full performance where Thomas held a captive audience of some of the most talented magicians in the world. "Drop" is a real fooler that is super entertaining, easy to do and fun to perform.
A card is selected, signed and lost in the deck. Then, as you dribble the cards, two freely chosen cards are tossed into the deck and impossibly sandwich the selected card. You then repeat the trick. But, this time, the two cards find a perfect Royal Flush.
This looks like an incredible feat of skill that took years to master. But, "Drop" is actually surprisingly easy to perform thanks to the special gimmick cards that can be easily added to your Bicycle deck and are invisible to the naked eye.
"Drop" isn't limited to being just a sandwich routine either. Use it to find the four Aces or multiple cards that come together to create a phone number. You can even force one or more cards. There are so many possibilities for "Drop" just waiting for you to explore.
- No short cards
- No corner shorts
- No crimped cards
- Completely invisible gimmick
- Find one or multiple cards (or even force cards)
Thomas is a worker that has used "Drop" in his own performances for nearly five years. As such, this effect was designed with workers in mind. You don't need a table because you can perform it in someone else's hands if needed. As it resets instantly, you can perform it again immediately as you walk from table to table. And, since it uses your Bicycle deck, you don't have to worry about taking up any extra pocket space.
It's rare to find an effect that is as equally powerful for magicians as it is for laypeople. After successfully using it on live audiences for years, Thomas is excited to share one of his most guarded secrets with you. Get "Drop" today!
Customer reviews for Drop by Thomas Badar
Based on the question section, if you're good with simple DIY, I believe you might be able construct additional gimmicks when the ones included wear out. I myself have yet to try this out, but it's what came to my mind when I examined my purchase.
Included is an IRL with a password to the online instructions. The video is well made and the effect is taught by Thomas Badar. The one negative I have about this purchase is the video is not downloadable. Otherwise, I highly recommend this gem.

When you purchase Drop, you are invited to join a Facebook group dedicated to the trick administered by Támas. To protect his own interests, Tamás understandably refuses to detail the construction of the gimmicks. That's all well and good. But, in spite of several requests on the site, including my own, Támas will not comment on ANY details of the features of the gimmicks. As this is not the place to discuss methods, let me just suggest that not knowing the details of how to fully exploit the necessary gimmicks in order to maximize their effectiveness is at the very least frustrating and at the most, disqualifying. Even Vanishing Inc was at a loss to answer my questions. The responses I received from my inquiries to them assumed a feature of the gimmicks that does not exist. So I'm in the dark, as are other members of the Facebook group (not to mention any and all purchasers of the trick), so unless this unnecessary mystery is cleared up, Drop will remain in the drawer.
In my more than six decades in magic, I have never encountered this kind of intransigence from an inventor. Though he gives very specific directions for handling the gimmicks, he refuses to give ANY details of the whys and wherefores of his rather prescriptive detailings of that handling. I am as baffled as I am disappointed.
However, with that being said, don't think you will be able to jump right into it. this is not an "easy to perform" trick. You will have to learn basic moves but be skilled enough to do them almost flawlessly under a pressure environment. If you get nervous easily/have shacky hands, this might be a trick to skip. However, if you are looking for a new trick to mend into your card/close-up acts, this is a very good must have.

My only issue with this release is that even though the video instructions are well produced, they aren't thorough as they could be. The instructions give you all the information you need to perform the effect, step by step, but don't go into as much detail as I feel they could've. Maybe just a personal preference but thought it should be noted.
