After reading Principia (a must have book for card workers), I bought this book without needing to know a thing about it because I knew it was another homerun of a book and I was right. It's a small book, no doubt. Just four effects but all four effects are awesome. I was grinning ear to ear while I was reading and practicing them. If I can read a book and come away with four effects that I'll be using regularly, I feel pretty good and that's the case with The Four Treasures.
Everything I've read of Harapan Ong's is so clever. Hey plus, it comes with gimmicked cards too.

This little book of Treasures is a long overdue addition to our craft. We all are familiar with the treasures in this book. But, few of us utilize their potential. Now, learn from the best. Add this one to your magic library.

Damn, this is good. The whole package. The approach, the layout, the effects, the teaching. It's all gold. The book even has a link to watch bare bones performances of each effect so you know what it's supposed to look like. I'm just blown away. Are the effects difficult? Depends on who you but there is nothing unobtainable if you aren't a master with a deck. There isn't any self working stuff here so you will need to know your basics but nothing crazy. Just buy it.

If you like principia, you should like this. It doesn't have as many effects as principia (only 4 routines), but three of the 4 are real good, and the other is solid. If you can do a double lift anda gamblers cop, you should be able to do most of the effects. The difficulty is not near the level of principia. All the effects have a high visual component, which is a high priority I place on my magic. So considering the price versus value, I would say the $30 price is about right.
