Equalizer - magic
Equalizer Equalizer Equalizer Equalizer Equalizer Equalizer

Alter their sense of hearing and make them question their own reality.

João Miranda and his team, creators of some of the most innovative magic props in the world, are back with a state-of-the-art speaker system that enables you to create what feels like real magic.

The sound quality of "Equalizer" is unrivaled, making it nearly impossible to differentiate a sound effect from a real-life sound. Even for crisp sounds like opening a soda can or a bell.

You can customize "Equalizer" to suit your own effects and create brand-new ideas, or use it to add an extra audible convincer to some all-time classics.

There is truly limitless potential. So, to help you get started, you'll also receive complete instructions for six powerhouse effects, as well as the professional studio recorded sounds for each one.

Music Box

The magician shows a metal hand crank music mechanism and places it inside its box. The spectator then selects one song and when the magician plays the music, it matches the selection. For the big finish the music apparatus vanishes without a trace!

Includes gimmicked metal music apparatus and a Svengali blank cards so you can customize to your own preferred song and get started right away.

Bell Divination

A bell rings by itself, finding the chosen card. Everything can be examined, before and after.

AM/FM Radio

The magician draws a radio on a small notepad. Incredibly the pad plays the sound of a radio station! The magician can play our pause the sound at will as if they are really tuning into the radio.

Glass Disappearance Kicker

A revisited classic, where a glass goes thru a table while covered with a newspaper, but this time the audience really "hears" the glass being touched with a coin, right before it disappears without a trace.

Vanishing Deck

The classic effect where a deck of cards vanishes, except the signed card. Thanks to Equalizer the audience will really believe the whole deck is in the magician hands since they hear a riffle. This takes the illusion to a whole new level.

Vanishing Matches (Created by Miguel Pinto)

The magician opens a matchbox and asks the spectator to grab one match and sign it. The match is returned and mixed with the others. Suddenly all the matches have magically disappeared, except the spectator signed one!

Customer reviews for Equalizer

I’ve been playing with this, took me a while to get my head round it in the updates and transferring sounds etc but once I got it, I love it, the vanishing matches is great and is my first effect I’m gonna use first and work my way to the other effects, I give this 10/10 you do get a lot in box for the price, as it’s very high but worth it??

Have a question about this product? It's possible others do too. Ask here and other Vanishing Inc. Magic customers will be able to respond with assistance! Alternatively, email us and we can help too.

  • Peter asks: Can you add any sound ? For example a ghost

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: You can! You can upload sounds to the device.
  • Peter asks: Does the gimmick have to be in your hand to make the sounds all the time?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: It does not have to be in your hand. You can attach it anywhere on your body.
  • CB asks: How many tracks can you put on it? How long can the tracks be?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: This depends on the size/quality of the tracks you are putting on there. But it uses a standard Micro SD card, so if the one provided is not enough for you you can easily purchase a larger one from any decent online store.
  • Lars asks: Am I correct in assuming that there are only two ways to play the sound: 1) immediately, by surreptitiously pressing the button and 2) on a pre-timed delay, where the unit vibrates at the end of the timed period, then plays the sound? It's not clear how this second scenario would work in live performance. Would you have to press the button, then match your subsequent actions to the set time? The video of the radio effect is confusing because the unit is hidden in the hand at the start and then gone at the end of the performance. Is there a way to vanish it?

    • 1. David answers: For the radio, it's just a hand to hand pass. It's still there behind the pad at the end.

  • Peter asks: Are speaker and button connected via cable or via BlueTooth?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: There is a remote connection that is strong and secure.
  • RHOD asks: Can we play one after another different recorded songs ?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: You can! It is called Sequential Mode.
  • Warren asks: Is the sound loud enough to be heard from the stage in a performance hall or can it only be used in closeup?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: It's best in close up but the sound is normal in real life so if you perform it on stage, you might need to have a mic nearby to amplify it.
  • Ajay asks: Is there a delay between pressing the button and the sound? If yes, is this a variable or a set time delay delay? If variable - what are the minimum and maximum delay?

    • 1. Johnny answers: There can be a delay. It says "The unit also has a programmable delay activation with vibration feedback, so the performer is always in control."

  • Michael asks: I too am interested in the answer to Ajay’s question. In the past, I have used similar gaffs that work hands free (using body such as arm, stomach or toe switch) Is the delay customizable, or set to a fixed time? Thank you!

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: The time delay is customisable to each performer
  • steve asks: Can the unit be attached to a larger speaker for bigger output?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: It cannot
  • Christopher asks: Can the battery be replaced once it no longer holds a charge?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: I do not believe the battery is easily replaced
  • David asks: What type of battery powers it? and what is the mAh?

Post an answer to this question
    • David asks: Can you please list all of the sounds that are pre-loaded on the device?

      • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: - Sounds for the music box routine - Sound for a matchbox vanish - Bell sound for a bell divination routine - Coin clinking against a glass sound - Cards riffling sound
