"Nostalgia" by Michel Huot is a professional 5-7 minute stage and parlor magic effect that will connect with audiences of all ages. Playing into the recent resurgence of vintage clothes and toys, it uses an iconic and immediately recognizable ViewMaster toy to create an unforgettable experience that is like a hybrid of a book test and drawing duplication.

You start by allowing some ViewMaster reels to be examined. A spectator selects one, places it into the ViewMaster and puts everything behind their back. They then click through the images and stop on one image randomly. They bring the toy back out, look through it and memorize the image.

There's no way you could ever know what they saw, yet, somehow you're able to impossibly draw the exact image they were merely thinking of. This is a super fun bit of magic and mentalism that your audiences will love.

• Will asks: Is the reveal always the same? Are there options to the revealed image?

• Robert asks: I love the idea and the basic props. Mostly bothered by the fact that view master reels are normally white -- which is exactly what the promo image has in it. But the demo and product photos are all black. It's like they knew that they should be white and marketed that way, but they produced them in black. Not much of a question here except is the bag necessary? Assume it's f***e bag?

• Gordon asks: Can I use the Viewmaster normally? That is, to look at hold reels from my childhood?

  • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: The Viewmaster can work normally but you want to make sure that your reels will fit. The ones for this trick are thin and made of plastic.

• Doug asks: Can a (presumably ungimmicked) reel be placed into the Viewmaster and viewed? This seems necessary as a convincer.

  • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Yes! All of the reels will work with the Viewmaster.
