Quite the artist he is! Just a very creative way to make sure the audience doesn't feel left out and honestly just quite beautiful.

Languid, relaxed pacing, tranquil presentation with a philosophical but not abstruse or self-important dress, and, a seemingly-impossible effect.. Lovely. It's really nice to see a performer who does not "rush through his feats as though Beelzebub were hard on his heels (Hugard and Braue, ECT).

Great hook—the story of the Zen and the Art of Archery and meaning in our everyday lives—and audience involvement so it is remembered that the cards are well shuffled.

Gotta start out by saying that I do not like “magician cuts to the aces” routines. They have always seemed way too show-offy to me. No magician post Ricky Jay should be doing it.

I do however love it when the magician flips it and the “spectator cuts to the aces” instead. It’s like a, have your cake and eat it too, moment. Every one knows the magician made it happen but all praise is deflected onto the spectators for a job well done.

This trick is an almost perfect example of that. If he’s achieving it the way I think he is, then it’s not the method that’s impressive, but the performance. He says and does just enough, yet not too much. He elevates this entire experience with his demeanor, style and choice of words. Love it! Truly Zen.
