A super commercial, self-working mess-terpiece.

You start by introducing some art postcards that have been chopped up, as well as a mini easel with a mysterious red envelope. The spectator shuffles the pieces, which you then deal to the table—some face-up and some face-down.

The spectator then gives the packet a special "origami shuffle" in which the pieces are folded into one packet. Each fold they choose to make changes the positions and orientations of the cards.

You then spread the packet across the table and bring attention to the red envelope that has been in play since the start of the routine. Inside, you correctly predicted how many pieces would remain face down.

But, that's not all. You turn over all but one of the pieces to show they are all from the same picture! The spectator then turns over the last piece—but, it doesn't match.

That's when you surprise them with a kicker ending they'll never see coming. Your prediction card also shows that you predicted an exact match of their mis-made picture. A true mess-terpiece!

  • Easy and self-working
  • No difficult sleight of hand or moves
  • No gaffs or gimmicks
  • No memory work
  • Instant reset
  • Fully examinable

"Art Attack" comes with everything you need to perform. This includes the red envelope, mini easel and a spare set of cards to perform Mark's alternate handling using a different method and more pieces. Video instructions and an accompanying bonus PDF included.

I have truly enjoyed doing this fine trick for my friends, family and in my closeup shows. Michael Beggar has taken known principles and created a wonderful self working trick that really packs a punch to spectators brains. I highly recommend this fine effect. Enjoy!

This is so Great, as I try to steer clear of card tricks.
Fun and different.
The hardest part of this is learning and remembering the names of the paintings.
Highly recommended!

This is a great trick - the people I do it for are very intrigued by the art element, and they never figure out how it's done. Ultimately, to be able to do a trick cleanly and impress your audience, that is what counts most and this trick does that. It does come with a card that doesn't appear in the instructions so I have no clue how to use it, and it is also missing a card that is supposed to be there. Vanishing Inc sent me another set (thank you Vanishing Inc!!), but that set had the same issue. I am guessing at some point the manufacturer of this trick changed something but never updated the instructions. While that is annoying, Vanishing Inc was great in sending me a second set, so I am happy since now I have a lot of extra cards that will allow me to have more permutations of this trick. And like I said earlier, the effect is great!

If you have read about Origami folds in any other material (that is mentioned in the instruction video too) you already know how this works. You will receive cards you need to cut yourself and when I first thought "that's cheap" actually it helps sell the illusion because the cards are then NOT precisely cut and that underlines the "I cut up four art postcards" line really really well. A little bit underwhelmed with the "you get extra cards" disclaimer, basically you get a 2nd set of the same cards that theoretically will work with a different matrix, but you get absolutely no explanation for that (even if it is pretty easy to deduce). Theoretically for a special performance you can even cut a set of cards into quarters in front of the audience - of course you can do that only once. Pretty and easy even for absolute beginners.
CORRECTION: There actually also is a link to an additional E-Book in the package that provides info on the different matrix mentioned, but the way that one is done requires quite a bit more work.
