Hybrid - The Borrowed Bill Moving Hole

It’s taken eight years for Danny Weiser to bring his most closely guarded secret to the market. And you can get it today.

HYBRID is a unique magic trick. Here’s what happens:

You borrow a US bill. It’s signed by your helper on the front and reverse. Next, you use a hole punch and create a hole in the bill. Then the magic happens. You make the hole move across the front of the bill and with a simple flick, it visually jumps to its starting position. The bill is then restored and given back to the person who loaned it to you. Undamaged. And you don’t switch the bill.

  • It’s a borrowed, signed bill
  • There really is no switch
  • There really is no dupe
  • There’s no need for refills
  • There’s not a thread involved
  • Each hand-made diabolically clever gimmick is good for 1000s of shows
  • No arts and crafts - you open the box and get what you need
  • You can reset in under three seconds
Want more?
You’ll be taught three different routines:

  • A pen through bill
  • A hole punch routine
  • A black hole variation
The gimmick is supplied in US currency, ready to go—no "DIY" needed!

The greatest minds in magic are praising this. It will go straight into your working repertoire.

Simon asks: Does this effect work using borrowed UK currency notes?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: I'm sorry—this only works with United States currency.
    • 2. Danny answers: It does not come in a Uk currency, however, you CAN purchase the gimmick and alter it to suit your currency!! Chris Webb from the Uk has already attempted this! Bill asks: Can a 10 year old do it

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: That's a very difficult question to answer as every ten year old is different. I believe that it could be adapted for a ten-year-old, however.
    • 2. Danny answers: That IS a tough question! I’d say that just like any magic trick, it will take time to master!

Kirk asks: Can we see a clear performance video of the effect from start to finish, rather than a highly edited, partitioned piece, please?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: I'm afraid that this is the only video that the manufacturer has provided. Hopefully they read this and provide a complete video!
    • 2. Danny answers: The second video on the page has a live performance! https://murphysmagic.com/Product.aspx?id=60595

Mike asks: Does it work on Canadian plastic bills?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: This effect only works with American currency, I am afraid. As Danny has posted above, it is possible to customize it, but it doesn't come out of the box ready for Canadian bills.
    • 2. Danny answers: The gimmick comes in USD, however, if you are crafty, you can remove the USD bill and put the currency of your choice on in place!

D Charone asks: How difficult is the sleight of hand needed (assuming there is some)?

    • 1. Danny answers: Very minimal slight needed! I taught this to a magician who was just starting out and he was performing it fully a week or so later after practice!
