Joshua Jay’s solution for bringing your card magic to larger parlor audiences.

Using a wine glass is one of the most sophisticated and intriguing ways to—quite literally—elevate your card magic. Moving your routines to a vertical plane allows them to become more visible to everyone in the audience. But depending on a venue to have a suitable glass is a risky endeavor and traveling with such a fragile item is a nightmare. After spending years unsuccessfully trying to find the perfect glass, Josh decided to take matters into his own hands by creating “Collapsible Wine Glass.”

Magician-first Design

While other portable wine glasses exist, this one has been specifically built from the ground up with card magic in mind. Featuring a vintage square wine glass design, the “Collapsible Wine Glass” is not only stylish but also much better suited for adding and removing playing cards than the typical rounded shape. This elegant, crystal-looking wine glass was custom-molded to seamlessly hold an entire deck of cards, making it the perfect companion for any card effect you wish to make play bigger.

Flexible and Convenient

When traveling, you won’t have to worry about a delicate stem snapping either. Just unscrew the stem, flip it over and screw it directly into the bowl, instantly transforming the “Collapsible Wine Glass” into convenient extra storage for other props. It assembles and disassembles in seconds, and everything fits in the included carry case for easy transport.

Durable Enough for the Working Pro

Shatter-resistant plexiglass makes this the ideal accessory for any magician, especially those with rigorous performing schedules. You get all the same luxurious aesthetics of a real glass, without any of the hassle. The added protection of the foam case ensures your “Collapsible Wine Glass” will always arrive safely, giving you one less thing you worry about while setting up.

Collapsible Wine Glass features

While the “Collapsible Wine Glass” was created for your favorite card routines like “Sympathetic Ten” or “Cards Across”, astute magicians may have already recognized its versatility expands beyond card magic. Use it for all your favorite non-card material too like “Coin in Glass”, “Linking Finger Rings” or the end of your “Silk to Egg Routine”.

Anytime you need a glass in a routine, “Collapsible Wine Glass” from Joshua Jay is ready to go. It is a versatile and dependable utility accessory that every magician will benefit from owning.

Comes with custom-made glass and a compact ballistic foam carrying case.

This is a great prop to add to your show. I second I opened it up my response was "WOW". I started to use it to hold just a deck of cards. I felt that just bringing a deck of cards in a wine glass would help with the presentation and viewing of whatever effect I'm going to do. I did do a card rise using this glass. After the effect was completed I got a nice response that I didn't expect. When I broke down the glass in front of them they (the audience) gave a gasp and a "what the". They thought that the glass was a gimmick that was part of the rising card. I was so impressed with this item I went and got another. There is an effect where two decks of cards are required. I will be using the Collapsible Wine Glass more in my shows. Hopefully finding new ways to use them. Get the prop now. Who knows how much longer it will available on the market.

This is a thing of beauty! I am putting a show together after a 20 year break from performing and this is such an elegant solution for those of us who like to pack small and play big.

Comes with a lovely case to help keep it pristine when in transit, looks quality in parlour and even close up. And because it's been designed by magicians for magicians it holds a poker size deck perfectly. It's also ideal for keeping small packets together for various effects.

I spotted this by accident while scrolling through the pages of Vanishing Inc and ordered one right away and I am so glad I did. Thanks for making this much needed device!

This prop came at a perfect time. It is well made and perfect to add elegance to your card magic. I have two because it does help with cards across. Sympathetic cards are much easier to display in these glasses. Because of the material it's made of you will peace of mind knowing that your glass won't break. Glad I got a set because in few years when these are no longer being made I 'm not scrambling the internet to find them.

There are a lot of good reviews on this product. What I can say is that I accidently dropped mine a few weeks a go on a fairly hard surface and it did not even make a mark on the glass. It's incredibly well made. Love the fact that it unscrews and the carrying pouch is super cool

Even after an extensive search for some acrylic container that assisted with this effect, just wasn't finding anything to date. Well, ... now have 7 1/2 minutes of M. Lewis's "The Come-Back Card", all set & encapsulated for traveling in a collapsible wine glass... It just doesn't get any better.
Bravo!

Can a magician (even someone as talented and dedicated to the art as Joshua Jay) really design a superior goblet? I have to say yes. His design solution is minimal, elegant, and demonstrably easier to use with cards and silks than anything else I've found over the years. The materials and fit are first rate, as is the protective carry case. Well done, sir. Well done.

I had been shopping camping sites for portable/ collapsible wine glasses when this awesome product was announced! My new favorite utility item. I’m so glad I bought a pair. Dollar for dollar these are a MUCH better value than trying to make a “picnic acrylic” glass work, especially recognizing the design features and carrying case. I’ve immediately put to use for Sympathetic Ten/ Rising Cards/ Comeback card (Lewis).

This is absolutely the perfect glass for card work I have ever seen. First the stem and glass can be nested, and it comes in a super protective case. It is a well-constructed heavy-duty plastic which avoids the dangers of glass. It is the perfect size for standard poker playing cards. It can be used as a Houlette or for silk changes or even the 20th century silk trick. I am very pleased with the quality and value. It takes up half the size of the normal wine glass I use.

I have been always afraid to do something with a real glass as I did not want to break it or get someone other than me cut if something happened. This solves that issue. I really like it and will start using it to do effects that need a glass or something like that.

I have been looking for a glass for a while to do a rising card effect. Great for use with other items like Magnet 0 or any effect you need a item covered. It is perfect size for a deck of cards or fewer. It is crystal clear and sets up quickly. The carrying case is a hard shell and looks very professional, just like the glass. Highly recommended if you are looking for a glass to use in your act.

Honestly, I didn't know that I needed to add a wine glass to my routine until I saw this gem in action. I love the compact design and included carrying case. I've already started working on a routine found in another VI product Naypes that utilized a wine glass and my audiences have been amazingly responsive. If you'd like to elevate your card magic (literally and figuratively) or just have an elegant deck display; do NOT HESITATE and pick up one of these today! You won't regret it.

I bought a few of these for a routine and these are the best, practical glasses. Great for Rising Cards (Devano, etc) as well. These should last a life time if treated well.

These glasses are so well made. Beautiful thick acrylic and they come in their very own hard shell protective zip up case. Amazing design and quality for the price. Highest recommendation!

Mine just arrived today. The pair I bought are perfect for the Sympathetic Ten. I have been looking for something like this for a long time

The Collapsible Wine Glass is a great option. I have several glass wineglasses that I have used in the past. And yes, I have broken a wineglass before. It's bound to happen whether it's simply in a close-up bag or even during a performance on a not so steady table. I like how the glass fits a pack of cards perfectly or can be used for just a few cards. Sadly, I managed to drop mine on the wood floor and the two pieces did break apart at the joint. But the two separate pieces are otherwise fine. (no scuffs or hairline cracks...) I super-glued the two pieces back together and it all looks and functions fine. My bad on being clumsy. I imagine this will serve me well for years to come.

Hi gang, I love the idea. Got mine once I saw it. It's just not unbreakable. Mine fell at table hight, in its case, and it broke at the base and at the screwing part. Just order another one but an important point is take care of it. My opinion is if you store it stem screwed inside the glass it will rate if it receives any small impact due to the brittleness. I love the idea, to the team maybe if you could unscrew top and bottom and store pieces separately, it will be safer. Love to every one.

These glasses are very similar to ones sold as collapsible camping glasses. BUT - these have a flat bottom! And for certain effects, that really is important.

I bought 2, for no good reason. But to me, these are like thumb tips. There's always a use for them somewhere.

Nicely made, the shell case is a bit awkward, but does protect the glass.

I think these will come in handy, and there's not many products I say that about. Good job!

The Collapsible Wine Glass, as its title suggests, collapses into two parts. Well designed as the stem easily unscrews from the bowl and is then flipped over and screwed back into the bowl. The combination of shatter proof material and the carrying case creates ease of mind for safe travelling with these wine glasses. Looks like real glass although clinking two glasses together or with a coin, the sound is arguably a little off. The rounded stem facilitates certain moves need for many effects. A good investment particularly if you perform any magic effects with wine glasses and have been reluctant to deal with packing the glasses out of fear of breakage upon arriving at the event.
