If I could only have one deck on a desert island, I'd take these...but I'd take several decks because there's a lot of sand and water and that's terrible for cards.
Sideways tuck is cool. Matte finish box, embossed all over. Red foil logo. Stock is a bit thin, perhaps, but it's a very stylish box.
Cards are standard EPCC French (I think) art. No ad cards or double backs included, which would have been nice.
But the cards themselves are pretty hefty stock - halfway between Bikes and Superior Robusto stock. They need some breaking in for sure. I like thicker cards and these are perfectly guaged. The weight just feels good in the hands.
Master Finish is waxy and a bit slower out of the box than their Classic finish or what you find with linen finish cards, but they lose their speed pretty quickly. They're fun and a bit different, while they last - a moderate lifespan, I'd say.
Back Art is awesome - understated, but deceptively intricate with the Zen logo in there, too.
My favorite thing about these is the smoothness of the edges. Buttery soft and they Faro amazingly well. Spectators love the feel of these and comment on how solid and smooth and just substantial they feel.
Beautiful art, slower speed finish, great cardstock weight, smooth edges. I wish they lasted longer, but they are the one deck I keep buying over and over.
