To celebrate our partnership with V&B, we are launching this limited edition close-up mat. These pads are made by the V&B family of craftsman with the highest quality materials. For thirty years, the Bosch family have been manufacturing exquisite furniture in The Netherlands. They are a family of artisans and their work has been sought after by some of the most famous names in Europe, including the British Royal Family.
Over the last two years, we’ve worked side-by-side with the Bosch family to develop a range of close-up pads which are, without question, the world’s finest. Each mat is handmade-to-order in the Netherlands and then shipped directly to you. The care and attention to detail that goes into each one is breathtaking, and each mat is made of a blend of the finest woods and textiles on offer.
A Cloth Inspired by the Book
The Expert at the Card Table has such an iconic cover. The rustic green cloth texture is immediately recognizable so we knew that we needed to find a material worthy of holding the Erdnase name. Alongside V&B, we procured the ideal cloth. This synthetic wool is addictively soft and is a joy to practice your favorite card table moves on. The texture makes it so unique and eye-catching. It is the perfect compliment to the gorgeous leather base.
The Base
The Limited Edition mat features a luxurious wooden base, adorned with a premium grade brown leather. It is robust and weighty and sits firmly on any tabletop. On the underside, you will find the signature of Vanishing Inc. and V&B, plus the unique number. Only 100 will ever be produced so this is your chance to own an enviable accessory which is sure to become sought after.
The Bosch family have spent thirty years mastering their art, and now, thanks to the V&B Close-Up Pad, they are going to help us master ours.

When you will receive your order: Every Vorst and Bosch close-up mat is made by hand, to order. Each mat takes approximately 6 hours to make, plus drying time. Wait times depend on demand but usually, mats ship within two weeks from the order being placed. The Limited Edition Mats are numbered to order. So the sooner you order, the lower the number you will receive.
