Magic Stars 2020 schedule

June 5-7th 2020

Friday 5^th June 2020

5pm - 6pm	Registration opens Get your badge, your free $100 gift pack, and introduce yourself to your new friends.
6:00pm - 7:00pm	Pizza Party Get to know your fellow magicians as you stuff your face full of Columbus’ best pies.
7:00pm - 7:15pm	Opening Orientation with Andi and Josh
7:15pm - 8:00pm	Opening Show featuring Andi Gladwin, Joshua Jay and Shawn Farquhar.
8.30pm - 9.30pm	Fool Us! This is your chance to fool Penn & Teller—er, Andi & Josh, with your deepest miracle. Prizes awarded and the grand prize will be free entry to the Magifest convention!

Saturday 6^th June 2020

10:00am - 11:00am	Magic Class Session One Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Close-up. This session includes GOAL-SETTING in your notebook.
11:00am - 12:00pm	Round Robin Divided into three groups, you’ll learn ab amazing trick (with props included) at each station.
12:00pm - 1:30pm	Lunch
1:30pm - 2:30pm	Magic Class Session Two. Growing in Magic. This is YOUR chance to perform for your instructors and receive help from world-class magicians...and each other!
3:30pm - 4:30pm	Joshua Jay on Under/Over. Joshua will talk about a range of topics on how to start a performing career, the role parents play in their children’s magic, and whether or not to perform in school.
5:30pm - 6:30pm	Flourish and Moves Competition Before a panel of judges, this event is all about technical skill. Got an invisible pass? Prove it. Can you spring cards between your hands? Show us. Prizes awarded.
8:00pm - 9:30pm	An Evening with Shawn Farquhar. Part show, part lecture, we watch the master at work.

Sunday 7^th June 2020

10:00am - 11:00am	Magic Class Session Three: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Parlor Magic
10:00am - 11:00am	Parents Seminar Parents Seminar. Discuss the issues and support systems possible for “magic” parents, with Joshua Jay and Andi Gladwin, as well as each other.
11:00am - 12:00pm	Andi Gladwin Lecture. See Andi perform his favorite effects, and then talk about the magic he’s developed for television.
12:00pm - 1:30pm	Lunch
1:30pm - 2:30pm	Volunteering Magic This is your chance to perform magic for people in the Columbus community who need it. Join your instructors as you ALL perform magic for an unexpected and excited audience.
3:30pm - 4:30pm	Magic Class Session Four: The Business of Magic. This lesson also includes GOAL-EVALUATION in your notebooks.
6:30pm - 8:30pm	Dinner
8:30pm - 9:30pm	Closing show Featuring a surprise guest performer.
9:30pm - 10:00pm	Closing party First a group photo, and then an ice-cream party!
